Elisa Defossez Kikuchi (b. 1996) is a Belgian-born designer. After working at Hermès for several years, she founded her own studio in 2021 to continue her exploration of colour, texture, and coziness in design.
With a multidisciplinary approach, Elisa develops colours, textiles, and products guided by meaningful concepts and narratives. Inspired by the observation of nature, her work conveys a sense of quiet beauty, bringing subtle significance to everyday life.
In 2024, alongside her freelance practice, she launched her lifestyle brand nuku, offering one collection per year of finely crafted textile products and limited-edition art pieces, all based on a unique colour concept.
Currently based between Helsinki and Tokyo.

マルチディシプリナリー（多分野横断的）なアプローチで、意味のあるコンセプトやストーリーに導かれながら、カラー、テキスタイル、プロダクトを開発している。
自然の観察から着想を得た彼女の作品には、静かな美しさが宿り、日常生活にさりげない深みをもたらす。
2024年には、フリーランス活動と並行して、自身のライフスタイルブランド「nuku（ヌク）」を立ち上げる。
nukuでは、年に一度のコレクションとして、独自のカラ―コンセプトに基づいた高度なクラフトによるテキスタイル製品やアートピースを展開している。
現在は、ヘルシンキと東京を拠点に活動している。
2020年パリで開催されたNextGen Awards（Première Vision主催）にて、マテリアル・イノベーション賞を受賞しました。
彼女の作品は、Monocle（イギリス）、Domus（イタリア）、De Standaard Magazine（ベルギー）、Asun lehti（フィンランド）、Glorian Koti（フィンランド）など、国際的な雑誌で紹介されています。
