Open workshop at the occasion of "Beyond Colours"exhibition in November 2025 in Tokyo.
Colours are, by essence, abstract elements that are both universal and profoundly personal. This duality fascinates me and led me to think of colour as a language: a means of expressing the inner self to the outside world, where it can be lived and interpreted by others, and in turn become part of their own inner worlds.
Through this workshop, I wanted to explore this dialogue by inviting participants to delve into their inner selves through playful engagement with colour. Drawing from my personal colour diary, coloured wooden pieces were displayed, and participants were invited to freely select and assemble them, guided freely by their feelings, memories, and intuitions.
At the end of the process, each participant created their own story, and a small, tangible reminder object carrying personal meaning.
2025年11月、東京にて開催された「Beyond Colours」展にあわせて、オープンワークショップ。
色彩は本質的に抽象的な要素であり、同時に普遍的でありながら、きわめて個人的なものでもある。この二重性に強く惹かれ、私は色を「言語」として捉えるようになった。色は、内面の自己を外の世界へと表現する手段であり、他者によって感じ取られ、解釈され、そして再びその人自身の内面の一部となっていく。
本ワークショップでは、このような色を通した対話を探求することを目的とし、参加者の皆さんを、色と遊ぶように向き合いながら、自分自身の内面へと深く入り込む体験へと招た。私自身のカラーダイアリーから着想を得た、色付きの木製ピースを展示し、参加者は感情や記憶、直感に導かれるまま、自由に選び、組み合わせていく。
制作の最後には、各参加者がそれぞれの物語を紡ぎ出し、個人的な意味を宿した、小さくも具体的な記念のオブジェを完成させた。
