Pattern design for the Japanese fashion brand Loisir, SS24 collection.
Aika, means "time" in Finnish.
Time means for me constant change and disappearance. Being conscious of that, the present moment becomes therefore precious and incredibly unique.
Aika pattern represents that concept with overlapping grids of little disappearing dots gradients.
The pattern has been used as print for clothing and as socks knitting motif.
Loisir（ロワジール）2024年春夏コレクション、柄デザイン
Aika（アイカ）は、フィンランド語で「時間」。
私にとって時間とは、常に変化し、消えていくもの。そのことを意識することで、「今、この瞬間」はかけがえのない、かつ非常に特別なものとして感じられるようになる。
Aika柄は、そうした概念を、消えゆくようなドットのグラデーションが重なり合うグリッドで表現している。
洋服のプリントとして、また靴下の編み柄として使用された柄。
